Chapel Market is one of the few surviving traditional street markets in London. Whilst most shoppers visiting the Angel know Upper Street and the N1 Centre, not all of them will explore Chapel Market off Liverpool Road. As well as the traditional stalls selling fruit and vegetables, fish, CD’s and household goods, there are also a number of stalls selling freshly prepared take away food, ideal for a lunchtime snack.
A surprising range of shopping is available too from the shops along the street including sporting goods and clothing, electrical goods, bakeries, a butcher, art supplies and even cycles, one of the last pie and mash shops in London (Manzies at No 74) and a number of excellent, value-for-money restaurants including Roobaroo (No. 21) and Indian Veg Bhelpoori House (No. 93, an institution in the area).
