£10,000 grants for greener travel

Grants of up to £10,000 towards cutting CO2 emissions by changing the way your business or employees travel or make deliveries are available from Islington’s Climate Change Partnership.

It’s a good way of cutting fuel costs and gaining eco-creditbility and is aimed at small businesses, not-for-profit organisations and community groups. The Vehicle Grant Scheme offers funding for innovative projects including changing vehicle type, converting current vehicles, encouraging behavioural shift, encouraging less polluting driving techniques or reducing trip frequency and or length.

Organisations need to commit to reducing their emissions through a travel plan and by signing the climate change partnership pledge. Grants are available for up to £10,000 per organisation. For more information or to apply please go to Islington council's website
