Let’s make Chapel Market greener – and cleaner!

Soon it really will be business as usual in Chapel Market with the street improvement works all scheduled to finish in March and the market looking better with safer pavements for shoppers and traders.

Angel BID has now invested in a trolley collecting cardboard for recycling which is pulled through the market during the day picking up boxes. In order to minimise disruption to stalls and shoppers the trolley has to be compact, so we are asking traders to flatten or break up their boxes to maximinse efficiency.

Also we are looking at reducing the amount of rubbish cluttering up the street so the market is more pleasant to visit and do ask businesses and residents to keep strictly to the 5-6pm time for putting out their rubbish for daily collection. Council enforcement officers are often in the market looking out for people dumping waste illegally which could mean a fine, so be sure to stick to your allotted time and place for disposing of rubbish.
