BID area chosen for recycling trade waste pilot scheme

Angel BID has been chosen as the pilot area for a new trade waste recycling scheme by Islington Council and waste contractors Enterprise.

From July 1 businesses signing up for the scheme will be given recycling bags to separate out the glass, paper, card, plastic bottles and cans and tins from their main waste. This new recycling service run by Enterprise will be 6 days a week (Mon-Sat) at the same time as your usual refuse collection.

“We welcome this chance to work closely with Islington Council and Enterprise to make the Angel more environmentally-friendly and cleaner for everyone,” says Angel BID Director Christine Lovett.
