Angel BID is improving the Angel experience for everyone who works visits or lives here. We are creating a more attractive destination so people will come here, return, and return again.
Promoting our specialist areas Chapel Market and Camden Passage
These areas are often unknown to visitors who miss them as they frequent Upper Street and the N1 Centre. We are proud of these specialist areas, which not only enhance the Angel, but bring to it a unique feel.
Bus stops are better places to be
We have been working with Transport for London (TfL) to improve safety at the bus stops outside the N1 Centre. TfL are developing a scheme to make the waiting area at these bus stops more secure and attractive. This includes bonded gravel tree pits to make the pavement flatter and safer for pedestrians and environmentally better for the trees.
Facelifts and other environmental improvements
At the Angel there are many opportunities to improve the overall environment that the BID will actively pursue. One of our priorities is the creation of an attractive, high quality, public square outside the Royal Bank of Scotland building. Smaller environmental improvements will involve more and better flower displays, both at the Angel and in surrounding streets, as well as more good quality benches.
Markets and events
The BID will make the Angel a more interesting and exciting place to visit and work in, with a programme of specialist markets and events. Please see our BID Info section for dates. Making the Angel more attractive as a destination will mean it can compete successfully with other nearby centres.
Great Christmas lights
Simple – the BID will make the Christmas lights displays bigger and better each year!
