Derek has been is education for 30 years and is currently Director of the Centre for Applied Sciences at City and Islington College which has been graded as outstanding by OFSTED and in the top 10% of colleges in the country.

His involvement with ATCMG and now Angel BID stems from recognition of how businesses and education offer huge benefits to each other.

“We have 2,300 students in total and close co-operation with our business neighbours means we can monitor student behaviour at the Angel, and make sure their needs and business can benefit from the exchange of skills and information too.”
