Matthew has strong family connections with Islington and opened a furniture restoration business in the heart of the Angel 15 years ago. He also owns After Noah on Upper Street and, living above the shop with his family, has both a personal and professional interest in making the area safer and cleaner.

As well as working closely with local police to combat crime on local streets, Matthew has also focused his energies on looking at how environmental changes, such as parking and Red Routes, have affected the trade of local businesses. He looks forward to further improving the Angel for businesses and residents alike as a member of Angel BID board.
